Coaching & Mentoring Expertise
Coaching Expertise
With its increased popularity, the term ‘coaching’ has come to mean many things. We consider coaching to be a collaboration between equals whereby the coach facilitates the client’s development and learning. The coaching process is driven by the client’s needs.
At Socius, we have our own approach to coaching, which is firmly rooted in established coaching theory, psychology and ethical practice. All our coaches and mentors are professionally qualified and have developed their own areas of expertise.
Our areas of coaching expertise are:
-
Leadership development
-
Leading and navigating organisational change
-
Dealing with challenging people
-
Soft skills
-
Time management
-
Personal resilience and confidence issues
-

-
Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace
We deliver 1:1 Executive Coaching, Team Coaching and Group Coaching using the Action Learning methodology.
Mentoring Expertise
Mentoring leans heavily on coaching principles of client centricity and facilitation and adds the specific professional expertise of the mentor into the mix. A mentor can be described as a coach who does give advice – but only as requested by the client – in the service of that client’s question or challenge.
Our areas of mentoring expertise are:
- Organisational communication
- Stakeholder engagement
- Strategic realignment
- Intercultural awareness
- Project Management
- Settling into board positions
For each assignment we match individual clients and teams to the best equipped coach or mentor so that they may get the maximum benefit of the collaboration.
